Most beginners learn only the sequence for massage, but we focus on feeling, touching and energizing clients’ bodies. Various positions are taught so that you can relax isolated areas of the client’s body in order to go deeper into the muscle and fully understand the direction and rhythm of pressure on the energy lines. In Thai Yoga Massage, there are many yogic stretching positions to use with the client during a session. Understanding the direction of muscle fibres, functional anatomy and kinetics will enhance your skills as a massage therapist.
